K*NERS x Shortee Blitz & MK on Kiss FM:

I Love CHCH Benefit Concert:

PRESS RELEASE: A stellar line up of kiwi artists will come together on Monday 27 September for I Love ChCh – a relief concert to support our brothers and sisters in Christchurch.

Held at the TelstraClear Pacific Events Centre in Manukau, I Love ChCH will feature performances from some of New Zealand’s finest including Scribe, Boh Runga, Jason Kerrison, Maitreya, Nesian Mystik, J. Williams, Smashproof, House Of Shem, Savage, Vince Harder, Sweet & Irie, David Dallas, Mika, PNC, Aaradhna, Devolo, Erakah, Frisco, Pieter T and more.

“It’s times like these we as kiwis must stand up and lend a helping hand,” says Brotha D, CEO of Dawn Raid. “We all have families and friends who were affected by the earthquake and once again our music community has come together to lend their support.”

All the artists performing, technical people, marketing and promotions, venue and catering are giving their time and services for free and 100% of ticket sales will go to the Red Cross Earthquake Appeal relief fund. The main premise of I Love ChCh is to reach out to Christchurch and let them know the whole country is behind them.

The TelstraClear Pacific Events Centre is being provided free of charge for the evening to help the cause. “New Zealand is a small country and we all have connections to family and friends in Christchurch,” says Richard Jeffery, CEO of TelstraClear Pacific Events Centre. “It just took a couple phone calls to get everyone on board to do our bit for the city.”

Damian Wong from Multi-Media recently witnessed the impact the earthquake has had on the region, so was also keen to be involved. “I just returned from Christchurch this week after going down to support our team; the place is still on edge but will pull through. We are so pleased to be able to show our support,” he says.

I Love ChCh tickets are limited to 2,500, so with the top notch talent on offer people will need to be in quick to show their support. The concert will run from 7pm – 9.30pm, doors open 6.30pm.

Three of the country’s hottest recording artists – collectively finalists for nine Tuis in the upcoming Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards – have been named as the stars taking a little bit of the awards to Wellington and Christchurch.

Dane Rumble, J. Williams and Young Sid take the stage at the Wellington Town Hall on September 16 and Christchurch’s James Hay Theatre the following night as part of the Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards Finalists Showcase gigs.

Two special one-off concerts have been created to celebrate the best of New Zealand Music and bring a little bit of the magic of the annual event to a wider audience of music lovers.

Music awards spokesman Campbell Smith says: “This is a great line-up of artists at the top of their live performance game. The guys have really honed their art in a touring environment and they certainly know how to entertain a crowd. We are delighted that they will be the first three artists to take part in the first year of these Music Awards finalist showcases in Wellington and Christchurch. And at $25 a ticket – it's a steal.”
